Vermont Hands & Voices Chapter Has Returned!
A group of passionate parents and dedicated professionals have joined together to re-establish a Vermont Hands & Voices Chapter.
- Do you have an interest in improving the social and academic experience of your child or student with hearing loss?
- Do you have a need for advocacy for your child or student with hearing loss?
- Do you have an interest or talent that you might offer to a group of parents and professionals who have similar needs and interests?
Hands & Voices is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families and their children (birth through high school) who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, as well as the professionals who serve them, without bias towards communication modes or methods.
The Vermont Hands & Voices is currently recruiting new Board Members and other volunteers to help re-build the statewide chapter here.
Hands & Voices is a parent-driven, parent/professional collaborative organization, providing families with the resources, networks, and information they need to improve communication access and educational outcomes for their children.
The diverse membership includes those who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families who communicate orally, with signs, cue, and/or combined methods.
Hands & Voices exists to help deaf and hard of hearing children reach their highest potential.
Those interested in lending their support to the Vermont Hands & Voices Chapter are encouraged to contact Chapter President Therese Urban at [email protected].
