June 2016 Meeting of the Vermont Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind Advisory Council
The Vermont Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind Advisory Council had its last “unofficial” meeting on June 17, 2016. The new law officially creating this council will take effect on July 1.
At the June 2016 meeting, there was a review of the official council membership and application process. Some members are appointed by the governor, and others are set in statute.
The current members agreed unanimously that any individual appointed to the council will represent only one spot on the council, and will not hold dual roles of representation.
The age-based subcommittees each provided a summary and review of their current work.
