Speech-Language Pathology Services
Student Speech and Language Evaluations: Nine East Network Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) review records, conduct assessments to answer educational teams’ questions, and provide a comprehensive report with recommendations that are shaped by the service-delivery model of the particular school. Direct remedial services are provided to students in a variety of formats and places: language-therapy areas, classrooms, individually, in small groups, and by team teaching. We can also provide meeting facilitation and navigation of state inter-agency bureaucracies. We conduct evaluations for private individuals, school districts, or other agencies for the purposes of determining if a disability exists and for program planning. Contact us for more information.
Direct and Indirect Services: Each year Nine East Network provides services to students and supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs). In several schools, we employ our own SLPAs and work with the school districts’ SLPAs, depending on the needs of the school.
The purpose of these services is to fill an interim gap that a school faces when it does not have sufficient capacity to meet the needs of students in its school. Nine East Network staff also work with districts to build their own capacity to meet the need for speech and language services in the future.
