Maureen Pearl has been serving deaf and hard of hearing children and their families in the southwestern region of Vermont for over 25 years. She worked as Parent Advisor in the Vermont Parent Infant Program since its inception. She has also been working as a Consultant to school age children who are deaf and hard of hearing since 1999. Over the years, she has collaborated with statewide colleagues to develop programs to benefit Vermont’s deaf and hard of hearing children, such as Adventure Day and Sign Support Program classes.
Maureen received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, and then earned her MA in Deaf Education from New York University’s School of Education, Health, and Nursing Art Professions. She holds a Level II Vermont Professional Educator’s License in Elementary Education (K-6) and Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
